Yup. You guessed it. The kiddos had another 4 day weekend which meant I had to switch things up a bit today. I have been working hard on creating killer Etsy listings for my shop, but also have been working on some really incredible things in store for the go-getters here in Maker's Business Coaching! So I had to figure out how I would make it all work today with the kiddos home. I could either sleep in, take 'er easy, and end up doing a whole lot of nothing for my businesses today. OR... I could get myself up at 4am, start my morning off with the quiet I sooo badly need in order to be my best for my family and my businesses, and get right to work. Guess which one I chose? Well, at 3:45am when my eyes popped open, I debated between grabbing another hour of those sweet "zzz's" and getting up, grabbing my fav cup of iced coffee, and getting to work. But, I knew that what I needed even MORE than sleep was to push forward to get the MOST important things done. And done early. ☀️ Before anyone else was up and had the chance to take over my day! I ended up having one of my best and most productive mornings I've had in weeks. And it was all because I made the choice to do the hard thing. Because sometimes that's what it takes to actually succeed as a small business owner. You've got to have grit, stick-to-it-iveness, and sometimes, a really incredible connection to other small business owners who push you forward, give you encouragement when you most need it, and are there to learn and grow their businesses right alongside you. We try to leave our house as close to 7am every morning. The kids need to be to school by 7:50 but like to get there as close to 7:30 as possible to spend time with friends before classes start.
