Happy New Year, Reader! Can you believe it's January 1, 2025? I have to tell you that because this year ends with a "25" this year feels more like a milestone than other years. Like celebrating the "25th anniversary" of a company or relationship. So it feels like a year to celebrate and a year to strengthen important pillars in my life. And although today I spent zero time working on my plan for this year, I had an incredible day enjoying time with family. Especially since this is the last day of my kiddos Christmas vacation before they head back to school tomorrow. I'll hit the ground running tomorrow since it will be the first full day without kiddos at home for nearly 2 weeks and I have a packed day. It will be a day to catch up on things I've fallen behind on (cleaning and organizing my home and studio fall into this category). And I'll also start to get a plan in place for my new Etsy product line for 2025. But I want to know what you would like my help with this year. Do you have specific workshop topics you'd like me to cover? I have workshop ideas already planned out, but want to make sure to cover your requests first. We try to leave our house as close to 7am every morning. The kids need to be to school by 7:50 but like to get there as close to 7:30 as possible to spend time with friends before classes start. When we leave the house right at 7, we get to school by 7:25. So you would think that if we leave the house by 7:10 (just 10 minutes later), we'd still get to school 10 minutes later as well (which would be 7:35). But...that's not how it works. I'm constantly thinking about my Etsy business. Spending focused time creating orders, thinking of new ways to expand and grow, or researching new product ideas for viability. Because when you own your own business, you can't afford to let things fall through the cracks. So, when I see opportunities for growth, I jump on it. Yup. You guessed it. The kiddos had another 4 day weekend which meant I had to switch things up a bit today. I have been working hard on creating killer Etsy listings for my shop, but also have been working on some really incredible things in store for the go-getters here in Maker's Business Coaching! So I had to figure out how I would make it all work today with the kiddos home. I could either sleep in, take 'er easy, and end up doing a whole lot of nothing for my businesses today. OR... I...
